wChar can count down, or count up, the characters entered in form text input fields or textareas.
By default, it will show a temporary popup box, with the current state of the counter, near the text field where the user has been typing into.
The counter is updated every time the user types in a character.
The popup box is styleable via CSS and its animation options can be tweaked to prevent from blocking access to other form fields or annoy users with lengthy fading animations.
A demo is included with the download package.
