It uses custom posts and custom taxonomies for creating the image slides, and a simple shortcode for embedding them into posts and pages.

Installation:

Unpack and upload it to the /wp-content/plugins/ directory.
Activate the plugin through the 'Plugins' menu in WordPress.
The standard shortcode is [simple_slides], with extra options detailed in the documentation.

The Simple Slides plugin uses the Nivo Slider for creating and embedding the image slideshow. The Nivo Slider image slideshow can be downloaded as a stand-alone script from here.

Requirements:

· WordPress 3.2.1 or higher
