The Transient API is a WordPress in-house standard for dealing with cache data.

It tells developers how to work with cache sessions, temporary files and temporary database records.

The Artiss Transient Cleaner plugin works with this standard to clean old cache files once a day and avoid bloating the WP installation with useless files and database tables.

Installation:

Unpack and upload it to the /wp-content/plugins/ directory.
Activate the plugin through the 'Plugins' menu in WordPress.

Requirements:

· WordPress 2.5 or higher
· PHP 4 or higher
