ASUS notebook manufacturers announced an idea to equip notebook with the Anti-Theft Technology of IntelR, in efforts to help lower of notebook's theft.
This new technology gives users the ability to send a 'poison pill' from long distance, the notebook can not be operated by a thief with disabling all the functions of these notebooks.
So, the risk on the loss can be minimalist. When the notebook has been found again, a recovery token can be used to re-activate the notebook.
Mr. Henry Yeh, General Manager of ASUS Notebook Business Unit said, "By using the Anti-Theft Technology PC Protection from IntelR on ASUS P30 and P80, the professionals can now run the business more secure, without feeling fear notebook lose cause by thief, "he said.
