The HTML 5 'oninput' event handler is used to detect user input in JavaScript.

Whenever 'oninput' is not supported, 'onkeydown' is used.

Works in all A-grade browsers, including IE6.

Requirements:

· JavaScript enabled on client side
· jQuery

Limitations:

· Doesn't support event delegation.
