The player can be used to play audio and video media found on a page.

It will crawl the page and detect links to multimedia files, gathering them all in a playlist.

By default, a small arrow on the bottom left corner of the screen shows that the player has found media and is ready to play them back.

Clicking it will expand the player.

Version 0.5.5 is known under the name Yahoo! Media Player. Version 0.9.5 is marketed as the Yahoo! Web Player.
