Ajax Portal uses its own Portal API for assembling AJAX-powered widgets into a fully working Web applications, solely relying on AJAX calls to build all layouts.
Under the hood, Ajax Portal is actually made of two parts. A server side part containing the portal server and a client side part, holding the portal JavaScript application.
The framework is perfect for complex projects based on dynamic layouts and the concept of updating content in real-time.
Even if written for JSP and JSF environments, most of the Ajax Portal code is written in client-side JavaScript, allowing the technology to be ported to other languages, as ASP.NET, Ruby, PHP, Python, Perl, and so on.
