"Shortcode Cleanup" allows admins to deal with older shortcodes that don't work anymore.
While managing shortcodes in smaller sites is easy, in larger installations with hundreds of posts and pages or even more, removing deprecated shortcodes becomes a huge workload that might affect other facets of development, keeping programmers and editors busy with maintenance tasks instead of actually publishing content on the site.
"Shortcode Cleanup" provides four tools of dealing with deprecated (and even non-deprecated) shortcodes.
1. It can delete them completely from the site
2. It can replace them with a newer, working version of the shortcode, or even custom HTML code
3. It can wrap them with before and after plain or HTML text
4. It can freeze shortcode output, removing the shortcode and embedding its current output as raw HTML
