Image (clipping) masking is a graphics technique for showing images with irregular shapes.

An image mask is composed of two images. One to define the shape/outline of the base picture, and the second to overlay the content on top of the predefined outline.

A demo is included with the download package.

· se HTML5 Canvas to apply an alpha mask to an image element. Compatible with any browser supporting Canvas.
