Yeoman will help programmers quickly setup a project scaffold and start coding right away.
Works from the Node.js command line and allows easy deployment of projects via simple one-line commands.
When starting a project, Yeoman asks a developer what projects he wants to include and goes online to fetch all the latest versions of those projects.
It then includes them into a project starting kit, with ready-made folder structures and default file inclusions.
This will allow the programmer to start coding right away and not waste time with setting up basic file structures, include statements and server setup.
Here are some key features of "Yeoman":
· Included a preview server package
· Automatically passes JavaScript code through JS Lint and tests for errors
· Automatically compiles all Compass and CoffeeScript code
· Automatically generates all application cache manifests
· Optional image optimization support
· Dependency management
· PhantomJS unit testing support
· Handles the latest ECMAScript 6 syntax
Requirements:
· Node.js 0.8 or higher
