Many problems exist when the aspect ratio of the bigger image is not the same with the needed thumbnail.
In most cases the image either gets stretched or no properly resized at all.
This AS3 class detects and image's viewport, analyzes the aspect ratio, and then properly resizes it and crops it, so the thumbnail is relevant to the original image and displays without affecting the resolution and image quality.
The class can be used for thumbnail resizing, creating fullscreen backgrounds, on-the-fly image galleries and adding responsive design features to Flash applications.
