By default, all code included within the WP WYSIWYG editor is displayed as text or as a formatted text block.
So embedding and executing any kind of code cannot be done via the WYSIWYG editor under no circumstances, except plugins or special meta boxes.
The 'Allow PHP in Posts and Pages' plugin adds support for a special shortcode (detailed in the backend settings page) that will allow editors to include PHP source code via the default WP WYSIWYG editor and have it executed when the page or post is accessed on the frontend.
Installation:
Unpack and upload it to the /wp-content/plugins/ directory.
Activate the plugin through the 'Plugins' menu in WordPress.
Requirements:
· WordPress 2.5 or higher
