Splashview is a pure JavaScript library that can show a splash screen (landing page, intro) until the rest of the mobile app has been initialized.

The library works with most mobile frameworks, including jQuery Mobile.

Under the hood, Splashview simply introduces a timeout period after which the splash screen is hidden and the real Web page underneath it is shown.
